Asya’s diverse clinical Physiotherapy experience also includes: Brain injury rehabilitation at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Neurological intensive care at Toronto Western Hospital, Cancer survivorship rehabilitation at Princess Margaret Hospital, as well as orthopaedic practice at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and in Sports Medicine private practice.
Asya’s passion for human movement developed in her early years as a nationally competitive gymnast, diver, and volleyball player. She honed her interests in exercise later in her undergraduate studies by working as a student kinesiologist. Asya’s studies and clinical experiences in her master’s program drew her towards neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, where she developed a special interest in the practice of paediatric, oncology, and sports medicine.
Asya is looking forward to developing her skills as a practitioner and health sciences leader, with plans to complete additional courses in neurological assessment and treatment, Pilates, and paediatric development, with aspirations including the pursuit of a PhD.
Asya is in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
