The Bobath™ Concept
The Bobath Concept in neurorehabilitation encompasses inclusive and individualized assessment and treatment to optimize an individual’s activity and participation in daily life. A Bobath Physiotherapist performs functional movement analysis to identify your available sensorimotor performance, postural control and selective movement. Therapy includes skilled facilitation through manual and/or verbal cueing, as well as environmental changes. Our therapists strive to help you improve the quality and efficiency of your movement.
Body Weight Support Treadmill Training
Body Weight Support Treadmill (BWSTT) Training provides a safe way to stand, step, and run without the fear of falling. We use the LiteGait system which includes a secure harness that safely suspends you while you practice standing and stepping forwards and backwards with your therapist. The amount of suspension provided is adjustable to ensure you weight bear at the most appropriate level. BWSTT promotes improved efficiency and gait patterning to enhance your confidence for more independent walking.
Neuro CrossFit & NeuroPilates
Pilates is the art of controlled movement which builds strength, flexibility, endurance and postural control. CrossFit is an approach to strength and conditioning that emphasizes aerobic exercise, high intensity interval training, and functional movements. From beginner to advanced levels, our Neuro CrossFit and NeuroPilates systems are adaptive to all functional abilities.
The Schroth Method™ for Scoliosis Treatment
The Schroth Method uses exercise to prevent spinal curve progression, improve posture and correct imbalances for patients of all ages with scoliosis, regardless of stage of scoliosis (including post-surgery). It also aims to reduce pain and build strength and endurance for daily activities through a home exercise program.
